WWE returns to London at the o2 Arena. Multiple paths in multiple 36mhz MUX carriers uplinked
Well here it is the Jubilee, London and what a show
We were there uplinking and sending ASI to BT tower and using a dedicated 100/100 internet for several LiveU devices and services hosted at the West Lawn area. We were there on behalf of EBU for NHK Japan with a full studio multi cam production
I’ll add some more to this later but what a show
Well it’s been 3 years since I’ve seen the chaps from PSSI due to the Covid Pandemic. Finally there allowed back and it was great to see Jim, Garrett and a new guy Craig who I knew from social media but never met in person.
The venue was the o2 London
The suns out and it’s a perfect spring day …
Breakfast was at the usual hotel on the 38th floor and what an amazing view …
The UFC was a sold out gig breaking all o2 records apparently … this means of course it was a financial success and will create the demand for more UFC from London’s iconic venue
IBROX Glasgow
Camera pitch side with more comms than you can imagine .. not an issue for S700 of course
RTL Germany add on with a pic of the client and sound engineer warming up after a snowy freezing start !
It was damn cold even the locals were stating it so def a fact !
Myself and Andy had to walk to the hotel 3 miles away as no Uber or cabs would come to our rescue… let’s just say Andy and his white trainers took a beating in the wet and snow 🤦♂️
So as we all know the storms the other week we’re as windy as it gets … so I get to do an uplink from the highest pub in England at Tan Hill, 1793 feet up, to do the morning Chris Moyles birthday breakfast show
I have to say getting up at 0300 to move the truck at 0400 due to the huge sudden wind change in direction was not the ideal scenario but needs must eh….
I have to say the venue, although a tad remote, is great. The staff were most welcome and the fire was crackling and the food was fantastic. A real pub in an amazing setting…
So finally a visit to the big smoke aka London… a trip to the Barbican to broadcast the London philharmonic orchestra live of course
Had a great weekend at Brands Hatch broadcasting multi path for Quest and Eurosport
Uplinking UHD at Anfield today…
Question Time in Cardiff last night. Such a beautiful day (not raining) and I haven’t been to Wales for at least 18months with all the lockdown and Covid-19. OB crew was Cloudbass on behalf of Mentorn Scotland
So I just remembered this site was still live – So I have decided to download the app and update it a bit more often going forwards. I’m still at Links Broadcast and the last year has been a nightmare due to a pandemic called Covid 19 world wide as I’m sure your aware of. The world is a mess and I’ve just started doing some work again so we shall see where this goes …. I still have the same truck but it has been upgraded to UHD.
The below picture is the position i park in at Arsenal.
Work is up and down of course with all these covid restrictions and no visiting broadcasters. Hopefully the UK can keep up the excellent vaccine roll out they have been doing with some serious delivery to the public in a short period of time and we can start getting back to some sort of normality. I dont think we will ever get back to the full norm pre-covid as before for some years to come yet, but we need to progress and start trying to get a more human working life back and meeting new and old friends in the work place again. Anyhow i wish you well and a better 2021 going forward….
